You’re young, you’re small, and you’ve got energy to burn; it’s time to join Noosa Netball for the Woolworths NetSetGO program.

NetSetGO is an aged base system to introduce players 5 to 10 years of age to the joy of netball in a fun, safe, inclusive and welcoming community. It encourages friendships, develops skills, confidence and hopefully a lifelong love of netball. Players usually work their way through the tiers. 

Our Net program details: (5-8 years)

• 10-week Net Skills program, held at the Noosa District Sports Complex

• 8am - 9am, Saturday mornings.

• Program commences 10 May 2025

• Program finishes 1 August 2025

• Cost $125.00 per participant

The three aged based tiers :

NET: as above.

For ages 5-8. Introduces children to the basics of netball via simple and fun activities designed to keep them moving and engaged with others. If your child has never played netball before and has very little skills or knowledge then this is the category to join.  Children usually complete this program for a couple of years until they develop the necessary skills to progress to the SET tier.  

SET:

For ages 7-8 in the calendar year (Born 2017 + 2018)

Builds on the NET tier skills, games are non-competitive and played in full  teams. These players have completed the NET skills component for a minimum of one year and are ready to play in teams with modified rules. The basics of game play begin. Teams are usually umpired by their and the opposing teams coach.  These coaches will educate players throughout the game. When an infringement occurs, play is stopped, the error explained and then the game re-commences. No penalties occur.

This is our Mod B group. To play these modified games you will need to register with one of our clubs, or maybe your school if they are one of our clubs and they will place you into a team.  Or reach out to us and we will put you in contact with someone to assist you. Games commence 15th March 2025.

GO:

For ages 9-10 in the calendar year (Born 2015 + 2016)

Refinement of the SET skills and the introduction of game play strategies to get players ready for the next step of competitive netball. Games are in teams and still non-competitive.

We split this tier into two sections.  The first part of the season players will continue with all the modified rules and be educated as they play but in the last seven weeks the games are played under the full rules of netball with infringement penalties in place.
